Using Technology to Empower Voters, Strengthen Democracy, Reduce Big Donor Control
We The People should use technology to allow voters to cast secure votes in elections and the legislative process - voters should decide which bills are voted on - not committee members only.

As anyone on Capitol Hill knows, the best ideas and best bills that are written in the best interests of the voter are left on the floor of Congressional committees in favor of corporate-sponsored bills.
That's a reflection and by-product of allowing only committee members to decide and determine which bills get out of committee and are voted on - and which bills never see the light of day.
Since we live in the 21st century in the year 2025, there's no good reason why We The People should not be voting on which bills go into committee and which bills come out of committee, instead of voters being oblivious and locked out of this most crucial and pivotal process of American democracy.
Direct democracy should not be impeded by traditional physical barriers to casting votes in elections and voters participating en banc in the legislative process.
Understanding technology is foundational and essential in understanding how we can safely and securely vote online in our elections and securely cast votes in the legislative process.
I conceived of Social Security Voting (SSV) as a means of permanently solving voter access, voter suppression and ballot issues while limiting the voting pool to persons who have a Social Security number on file with the U.S. Social Security Administration.
Each and every person in America who has a Social Security number can go to: https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/create.html and create your own, free online account by using your Social Security number and personal information to create your account.

Social Security Voting would mean a voter could log into their secure Social Security account and cast their vote for the candidate of their choice and get a receipt for their vote and the ability to log back in to make sure your vote was received and counted.
What About Hackers?
Hundreds of millions of Americans use secure, 256-bit encrypted online technology to "cast their vote" for hundreds of thousands of products over one trillion times a day without reservation, fear or worry of hackers.
That's why Americans stopped standing in lines to do personal banking chores 30 years ago, but doesn't explain why Americans are still standing in long lines to cast votes in elections.
The fact is, hackers are unable to "hack into" 256-bit encryption but try to access systems via "phishing methods" such as sending emails to employees in hope of one employee clicking on the infected email link.
My point is that the immense benefits of SSV greatly outweigh the traditional problems that come with paper ballots, state election laws, voting machine availability, standing in long lines, registration issues, voter roll removal issues, ballot counting and disqualifications, partisan state officials and actors, etc.
Democrats and Republicans should welcome SSV as a real, permanent solution - the best alternative to paper ballots, voting machines, partisan state officials and all the problems that come with traditional voting methods:
- eliminate standing in long lines due to partisan voter machine availability/placement;
- eliminate voter suppression by eliminating state election officials unrestricted ability to remove voters from state voter rolls;
- eliminate state voter ID requirements, as security concerns are alleviated and eliminated via multi-tiered secure SSV.
- eliminate election day transportation, employment and weather issues.
Instituting Social Security Voting will dramatically INCREASE voter participation, vaulting up and over physical registration issues.
Instituting SSV not only facilitates and increases voter participation in our American democratic process, SSV can also facilitate voter participation in the legislative committee process.
I predict Democrats and Republicans will OPPOSE SSV as Dems and Repubs steadfastly avoid anything that would reduce BIG DONOR influence and control of America's democratic processes.
It's much easier for a corporation or special interest group to control a small group of greedy men in a committee than trying to control the wayward will of the unwashed masses.
The last thing red state officials want is for non-whites to enjoy direct, unfettered access to voting in elections and casting votes in the legislative process.
Republicans sincerely believe committee business is BIG WHITE DONOR BUSINESS ONLY.
Republican committee members and chairs don't need the unwashed masses barging in, stinkin' up the place.
